Scope of this notice

This California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Privacy Notice supplements our general Privacy Policy and applies specifically to California residents. It describes how we collect, use, and share personal information about California residents and explains your rights under the CCPA, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Categories of personal information we collect

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

• Identifiers: IP addresses, browser identifiers, cookie IDs
• Internet or other electronic network activity: Pages visited, links clicked, time on site, referring URLs, device and browser type
• Geolocation data: General location inferred from IP address (country/region level only — we do not collect precise location)
• Communications: Email address and message content if you contact us directly

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under the CPRA (such as Social Security numbers, financial account data, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health information).

Sources of personal information

• Directly from you when you use the Site (usage data collected automatically)
• From analytics service providers (such as Google Analytics)
• From you directly when you contact us by email

Business purposes for collection

• To understand how visitors use the Site and improve our content
• To attribute affiliate referrals and earn commissions from our booking partners
• To respond to direct communications from users

Disclosure of personal information

In the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed the following categories of personal information to service providers for the business purposes listed above:

• Identifiers and network activity: Disclosed to analytics providers (Google Analytics) for site measurement
• Identifiers: Passed via affiliate tracking links to booking platforms (Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo) for referral attribution

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your rights under CCPA/CPRA

As a California resident, you have the following rights:

• Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties we share it with.
• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (such as information needed to complete a transaction or comply with legal obligations).
• Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
• Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share personal information as defined under CCPA/CPRA. No opt-out is needed for activities we do not engage in.
• Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under CPRA.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

How to submit a CCPA request

To submit a rights request, contact us at [email protected] with the subject line “CCPA Rights Request.” Please include your name, the email address associated with any communications with us, and the specific right you wish to exercise.

We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days. We may extend the response period by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, and will notify you of any extension.

We verify identities before fulfilling requests to prevent fraudulent disclosures or deletions.

Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a CCPA request on your behalf. We will require written proof of authorization and may still verify your identity directly for certain request types.
